DIY Guides › No Start
A quick way to split the problem into spark or fuel so you stop guessing.
When to use this guide: It cranks normally but never fires.
If it cranks but won't fire, the problem is either spark or fuel, and you can usually tell which one in about five minutes without spending a dime. Don't start replacing parts until you know which side you're dealing with. The tests are simple and each one rules out half the problem.
