Check the track bar and mounting points before chasing anything else.
When to use this guide: You want the fastest path to the root cause.
On a Cherokee, the track bar axle bracket is where death wobble starts most of the time. The mounting hole wears oval, the rubber bushing splits, or the bolt loosens, any one of those alone is enough to trigger the shimmy. Get under it and check the track bar before you touch anything else. You'll find it there more often than not.
