DIY Guides › No Start
Start with the most common causes of a dead key turn before replacing parts.
When to use this guide: You turn the key and the engine does not crank.
Dead silence when you turn the key is usually something simple, a bad cable connection, a corroded ground, or a weak battery. Work through the basics before you replace the starter or ignition switch. Nine times out of ten it's a connection, not a failed part.
