That screw is not an idle adjustment and changing it often creates new issues.
When to use this guide: Idle is weird after someone adjusted the throttle body screw.
The throttle butterfly stop screw on a Renix is a factory hard stop, it's not an idle speed adjustment. If someone turned it trying to fix a rough idle, it prevents the throttle plate from closing fully. That throws off the TPS reading and confuses the IAC. Getting the idle right on a Renix starts with putting that screw back where it belongs.
